Doug Yeaman, a powerful motivator who has trained tens of thousands of professionals, is the founder of Quantum Management Systems. A highly respected management consultant, he is known for his ability to motivate and train people within organizations, enabling them to become highly productive and for enabling organizations to become high performance systems.
Mr. Yeaman’s impressive track record includes founding a soft drink company at the age of 23 which he subsequently sold to a Fortune 500 company and began to establish his now national recognition and reputation.
Mr.Yeaman spent a year as a business consultant in Europe and the United Kingdom. Upon his return to the United States in the early 1970’s, he organized a large management consulting company in the San Francisco Bay area. The firm specialized in organizational development and management.
Mr. Yeaman displayed his impressive aptitude for systems and system development at the young age of 8, creating his first computer, which he made to play tic tac toe from wire, orange juice cans, wood, penlight batteries and lights. At the age of 9 he made his first crystal radio from war surplus parts.
At the age of 10 he displayed his first attraction to business creating a shoeshine business with his two younger brothers shining the shoes for monthly customers he found and sold.
At the age of 11 he started a business building miniature crystal radios and selling them to school mates.
At the age of 12 he continued his successful radio business and entered his first science fair, winning first place with the construction of an electric motor made from wire, orange juice cans, wood and nails.
At the age of 13 he entered the science fair, winning first place with the construction of a model fluorescent light bulb.
In 1976 he created the highly respected Laser™ Management Training. Today, Mr. Yeaman is a highly respected management consultant and is known for his ability to motivate and train within organizations, enablingthem to become high performance systems.
At the age of 14 he built his first working rocket, (see photograph) designing the engine and performance capabilities, with a convergent-divergent nozzle and fueled by a zinc-sulfur solid fuel. (The first launch blewwww up. The second went over 2000 feet!)
At the age of 15 he built his first binary computer from scratch design, learning binary code and number system in the process. This was created from relays and wire, with no outside design help and performed simple addition. He won first place and a trip sponsored by the Navy to San Diego and aboard an aircraft carrier, plus a trip to Point Magu Missile Test Center where he participated in a test launch.
At the age of 16 he built a transistor, flip-flop based binary computer that would add and subtract, using the binary number system (seephotographs). He won first place in the ScienceFair and won a college scholarship and a savings bond.
At the age of 17 he built a electron tube, flip-flop based binary computer that would add, subtract, multiply and divide, using binary coded decimal number system.
He won first place in the Science Fair, and a full-ride scholarship and an opportunity to work with Hercules Powder company, under David Cholley; as they as a team, constructed the then largest analog computer west of the Mississippi.
At the age of 23 he created and ran an extremely successful soft-drink company called Apple Beer®. Within 5 years he sold the exclusive international rights for a significant sum of money to a large Fortune 500 company and began his consulting career, consulting to them.
Some of Mr. Yeaman’s impressive projects include his involvement with the Soviet-American Task Force on global security as a facilitator and the first Soviet-American Citizen Summit Conference initiating the current Soviet-American Citizen Exchange. He personally assisted and facilitated General Trofemienko (a five stargeneral) during the conference.
While active with Quantum Management he founded At-Choice a nonprofit organization helping the unemployed and Youth-At-Choice helping youths find alternatives to drugs and alcohol.
Quantum Management’s Trainings were developed by Douglas M. Yeaman. Mr. Yeaman along with Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, organized and financed a conference on AIDS.
In addition to consulting projects and the creation of his training seminars, Mr. Yeaman authored the book “The Power of Commitment”and became widely involved in civic and busi-ness leadership. A national speaker at confer-ences and seminars, he has led symposiumsalong with such notable people as Barbara MarxHubbard, Buckminister Fuller, and JerryJampolsky, M.D. He continues to consult withtop executives at major corporations
Doug’s work has been exclusively in management, general systems theory and analysis and human resource development since 1974. He has worked with Aristotle Onasis, (at Onasis’ direction, Costa Gratsos head of WesternHemisphere operations for Onasis). He is the author of the best selling book, “The Power ofCommitment”

He has worked with almost every single major real estate company in the country as well as over 50 large multinational organizations such as Wells Fargo, IBM, Rank Xerox, Arco, Prudential, as welll as government organizations such as Fannie Mae and FDIC. He is in constant demand as a consultant, public speaker and trainer.
Doug’s company, Quantum Management, is a unique consulting service. It offers consulting and training services for every department within a company. It has a proven trackrecord in boosting executive effectiveness, employee performance and corporate profits.
He is an accomplished mountain climber. He was of the earliest to summit Ship Rock New Mexico, a class 6 rockclimb. Since 1980 he mountain (not rock) climbs major mountains such McKinley inAlaska, Mt. Blanc in Europe, the Tetons, Whitney (mountaineers route), Mt. Blancand most recently Kilimanjaro, Africa. He is also an expert skier.
Mr. Yeaman and his wife Ellaine lived in LaJolla, California, he now resides in Park City, Utah. He has 3 daughters Brittany, McCall and McKinley. They climb and ski with him and have been on the Tetons in Wyoming, and Brittany (his oldest has climbed Mt. Shasta, and went to the top of Kilimanjaro with him and Ellaine.
